An abundance of photographic riches today. Driving home from the supermarket I spotted some geese by the river - with goslings as far as I could tell given that I was driving and they were quite a long way away. So I headed back over to Newnham for Monty's walk. I went past the swan's nest that featured earlier in the month and found the mother casually swimming up and down the river so I thought things had gone wrong but no - 6 beautiful big eggs in the nest. So quite a nice photo op there. Then as I detoured round to get to the geese a heron took off right in front of me. I didn't quite get my camera firing in time but it stood around with the geese which was nice and flew a couple more times - more photo ops. Then I took the gorgeous little goslings but only from a distance as I didn't want to upset them. And THEN I came across this second swan's nest by he Scudamore's punt store. Good job they've already got lots of punts in the water! Not sure if it's the best shot of the scene or not in the end...
Three GT:
1. Lovely comments and favs on my recent pics - thank you.
2. The geese who have a dire success rate with goslings seemed to be acting as a team.
