Another full on day and again rubbish commenting. Normal service will be resumed on Tuesday. It was hot yesterday so Monty didn't get a walk until the evening - just as well as we had lots to get through. But this morning I thought I'd get him out before it got too hot (though as it happened it was blustery and cooler). I headed off to Newnham to check up on the swans and geese but had to detour off to get to the swans so as not to take Monty through the young bullocks. We have taken the rubbish parts of the shed to the tip, dug up a couple of shrubs and got the ground looking reasonable for laying a base on.
3GT:
1. Flagstones being provided by a friend who has taken up an old patio and says they are only fit for going under a shed.
2. Both baby geese still alive and kicking and being looked after by 6 geese - excellent community rearing.
3. Rubbish (football) on telly so I'm going in the bath to soak the filth and dust out of my body.
great shot Judith - plenty of cows on the Orkney Islands - we found out why they are so much happier than our southern cows...they are fed the sweet remains of the whiskey fermentation process!!!
@maggiemae They only graze a docile breed around the town but the youngsters are sometimes a bit enthusiastic so Monty and I went the long way round - only to find that they'd moved anyway!
@phil_howcroft I had a chat later - apologising for Monty disturbing her duckling photo. She was very nice - I nearly asked her - we should carry 365 business cards!!
Definitely a lovely behind on those ;). I always loved seeing all the cows in Cambridge - made me feel like I was really in the country (which is something nice for a city girl ;)). Haha, we should really carry business cards with the homepage and our usernames - I've told so many people about this but I guess they always forget by the time they get home. When I was pregnant with Little J and was anxious to meet other mothers because all my friends didn't have children, yet, my husband suggested I should carry cards saying "Janna, mother on the look-out for mummy-friends" or something like that ;). If it wasn't so embarassing I'd probably do it, too, as there are surely lots of mothers out there who are too shy to engage in conversation and would like to have mummy-friends, too.
