Tea for one by judithg

Tea for one

Rachel and I walked Monty in to town this morning and I dropped in to Patisserie Valerie to buy their quite magnificent mince pies in anticipation of a visit from one of our favourite people. 'Granny Doris' is over from Belfast visiting her actual grandchildren but we do like to hijack her for an hour or so while she's over because she has such a positive attitude to life that you can't help but be cheered up. This little fellow is from a sandwich shop which used to have shiny clay (?) versions of all their take away dishes in the window - an improvement I think all will agree.
wonderful composition

Amazing teapot....I hope when you kidnap "Granny Doris" you will show us her picture. Sweet little gingerbread man with a smile face.

The chinese often do this - impressions of their dishes which I think look ghastly and off-putting! I wonder where the lid is on the background teapot! Lovely blue and white china!

I like the colour combination here - the gingerbread looks great against the blue

Granny Doris sounds like a complete star. I reckon everyone should have a Granny Doris in their lives. I've got one, but she's called Auntie Ethel.
