The stretch of Chepachet along Route 44 dates back to the very early 18th Century. This building, now a seasonal antique store, is built along a stream that suggests it may once have had industrial uses. I was drawn to the decayed texture of the stone walls. For post processing, I ran it through an HDR filter to pull out some of the detail, but I kept the effect to a minimum so as not to change the overall feel of the building. A levels adjustment and a slight warming filter to remove the harsh tones from the poor side lighting completed it. No background textures were added since I wanted the building's history to speak for itself.
