Solitary Skiff

There is a small cove between the East Bay Bike Path (seen to the left) and where RI-114 crosses the Barrington River. This single boat was moored about 50 yards from the shore. I'm not sure why it's there or how you'd get to it (short of taking another boat), but I liked the overall scene and decided to use it for today's photo. The reflections of teh bridge and telephone pole sealed the deal. For post processing, I ran this through my HDR filter "Redynamix" and added a canvas texture for the painting effect. Several level and hue adjustments were added in addition to a 15% soft light layer to increase contrast a bit. This location has a number of other potentially interesting subjects, so I may be visiting there several more times in the coming weeks.
Has a lovely tranquil feel to it!

Pretty! Maybe that's the dinghy for a larger boat, like a little Boston Whaler or something?
