Obsession

There is an Olde World superstition that involves placing wicker brooms at the entrance to a child's bedroom. According to the myth, Night Hags are unable to enter the room until they have counted every bristle on the broom. If the broom has enough bristles, then it ensures the child will have a good night's rest. Apparently, the Night Hags are obsessed with counting broom bristles. As for me, I'm obsessed with popping the little bubbles on bubble wrap. They are irresistible. It's amazing that I was able to take this photo. You see, it was one of THOSE days at work. It was filled with problems and I ended up going right through lunch and then getting home very late. I needed a photo, so went into my basement in search of a subject. This large roll of bubble wrap caught my eye. After popping several sheets, I managed to pull myself away from the roll long enough to take a handful of photos, process them, and upload the results here. Now, if you'll excuse me, I think there are still close to 400 sheets left on the roll...
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and boost black. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Ron you are exactly like me! When I see bubble wrap I revert back to a 5 year old and can not leave until all the bubble wrap is popped! Such a wonderful photo, makes me just want to reach in and pop it all! How about we have a bubble wrap party? ;)
@justaspark Haha! I can see it already! A trio of bubble wrap poppers, do you think we'll make it onto the news? Perhaps well start an international 'Pop that Bubble Wrap' Day! :D
