Tawny Frogmouth - I just learnt they are not owls - but they are nocturnal birds
I love how they look like an old weathered lump of wood, perched and still like a broken off branch. When we were children we called them Tawny Frogmouth Owls, apparently not anymore.
What an interesting-looking bird! It's almost like it's camouflaged. I think it's very cool. I also love how the light is falling on him and on the tree branch. Great shot!
