Architectural Projections at Enlighten Canberra 2012 - Questacon - National Science and Technology Centre
In addition to the balloon festival giving us balloons at dawn (weather permitting) in the evenings we've been treated to architectural projections on the National Library of Australia, the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, the National Gallery of Australia, the National Portrait Gallery and Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre. I went last night with a friend I used to work with, we both wandered around with camera and tripods having a wonderful time. I probably should have stayed home, I have a terrible cold, but it was the last night of it last night and I didn't want to miss out. A horrid cold is a lousy way to spend a long weekend.
The projections all were suitably themed to suit the building they were displayed on, I like how the projection makes the windows look blown out , bit I really liked the walking dinosaur skeleton
Gosh that's amazing! Brilliant night-time capture. Definitely go out when you've got a cold...helps take your mind off it and you can always cosy-up when you get home. Hope you'll be feeling hunky-dory soon! :)
Ooooh - they did this sort of thing for Cambridge's 800th anniversary - this looks brilliant - worth venturing out with a cold for but I hope you feel better soon.
@bobfoto stills, the main movement was in transition from one scene to another, there was one which travelled along the length of old parliament house though
Lots going on in the capital city at the mo!
