Wells, Somerset.
Easter Sunday. A lot of the street scenes in Hot Fuzz were shot in Wells, we watched the film the previous night and then went out to spot as many of the places that we could - the internet had guided us a bit. I found a website listing of various scenes int he film and where they were shot.
So that is Dr Who and Hot Fuzz now that I have been to places those shows were filmed. Of course I had to find a Harry Potter location, I did that about a week later.
This is Wells Cathedral, a beautiful cathedral. There is a small embankment to the left of the frame here and we saw people rolling eggs down the hill. I don't think I have ever seen people do that before, perhaps it is not a tradition in Australia, or maybe it is just my family that have not done it.
@filsie65 It really is a lovely cathedral!
I thought it was just me that had not seen egg rolling - I was quite enchanted to see something I had only read about. It was only looking back at the photos that I realised I did see some nice weather during my visit. BTW the bloke with his back to me, walking towards the cathedral is mine, it is funny we both prefer to be behind the camera, but I do have some nice photos of him, but those are for me and not for 365
I've never seen anyone roll eggs before, and have never seen Hot Fuzz...
