So for those who have been following my shots and tales of my UK trip, I had gone over to reunite with my long lost love and to see if the re-emerging feelings from our emails and phone calls translated into real life.
My last weekend of my trip we went away to Cornwall - and the weather was miserable. A friend had recommended a visit to Boscastle and the witch museum and that seemed like a good idea on a rainy day. But first we decided to walk on past the museum and towards the harbour. Neither of us minded the rain too much and I hoped my canon and his nikon would cope with the drizzle. I liked the view looking back towards the village.
Over the course of the weekend I kept trying to have the serious relationship status conversation but couldn't bring myself to do it and realised it was not really needed. We'd already discussed the idea of my returning on another visit, perhaps for longer, later in the year. We'd also discussed his visit to Australia to use the return portion of his ticket (he was born in he UK but his lived most of his life in Australia, only returning to UK last year for a job opportunity). We'd even decided I'd leave some of my clothes there. It was not necessary to discuss "where is this going" as it seemed we'd both made the unspoken agreement that the end of my visit was only the beginning for us.
I just loved that we were both happy to walk around in the rain together, taking photos.
@filsie65 yes there was a photographic display showing the extent of the flooding i the national trust offices and various buildings had before and after photos - the witch museum had marks on the walls showing the height of the flood waters - the levels there would have been almost as tall as me
Didn't they have huge flooding in Bocastle (and even landslip) a few years ago...?
