I went to bed last night and dreamed about all the happy letters I've photographed in my Found Alphabet. It was a happy and pleasant dream until suddenly my peaceful dream was shattered by a loud and dissonant uprising! It turned out that the numbers were dissatisfied since they were not included in this challenge! They chased me across my dream. They hollered and screamed of injustice and foul play! They made me promise I would post a picture of them the following day or I'd be haunted by them until I did. But the letters cried out, "Wait a minute! This is our time to shine! You can't post them in the same way you posted us. That's not fair!" I tossed and turned until I woke with a pounding headache! In desperation I set out to find a compromise- a way to document the numbers without copying all those found letters. I searched my home and yard with my camera like Sherlock Holmes looks for clues with his magnifying glass. And as I searched I counted those numbers with each click of the shutter: zero, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine! So here is the result of my search. Hopefully I'll sleep peacefully tonight.
OK, the truth of the matter is, I just wanted to do the numbers too. And I did wake up with a headache.
@jmj Thank you Jennifer! I think you'll have fun with it! @sarah19 Thank you Sarah- be my guest! @woot Thanks Davide- yes, it was gone by mid-morning. I must have slept in an odd position. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @karenann Thanks Karenann- creative or insane, or a little of both. (o: @sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry!
@httpgeffed Thank you Colleen. Are you kidding me?! School is the perfect place to do this- in fact, I think you should have your class help you! Divide up the letters among your students (use numbers if you need them) and have them find the letters right there in your school. Photograph them and then put the printed results up on a bulletin board for everyone to see. At least that's what I'd do- she says with a sheepish grin for having humorously scolded a teacher of all people! @dmariewms Thanks Marie- yes 6 was a little tricky wasn't it? @digitalrn Thanks Rick- lol the dream was all made up, but looking over some of the comments I guess that wasn't too clear! @kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi! @summerfield Thanks Vikki- now it's your turn!
@cimes1 Thank you Carole- but not really. Once I decided I was going to do it in all dots and dashes, it was just a matter of walking around the house and counting out the numbers.
@alia_801 Thanks Alia- I was actually going to post some Greek letters from a banner at church- but I was so upset with myself- I didn't pay attention to my edges when I took the picture and I chopped off just a tiny bit of the top of the letters! So, I had to come up with something else. This was pretty easy though since I wasn't actually looking for the number- just the amount to signify the number (with the exception of the zero.)
