I really didn't want to go out today. Really.
So, that meant I had to find something...or someone...here in my nest to photograph. Ah, Kitty. Good girl.
And I'm kind of proud that I got the window frame lined up (mostly) straight. I'm usually not very good at that.
(I originally posted this with telephone poles and wires in the background, and lamented that detail. @girlie stepped up and offered to clone out the ugliness for me, and this is the new and improved version. Thanks Robin!)
Actually, I think it's a very good shot (despite the 'wee bit of bias'). I like the way the blind cord hangs just the right distance down and directly over the cat's ears; and I love the furry edges of the cat. The glimpse of the house in the background also puts the cat nicely into context.
@monkeykid Thank you.
I wasn't even trying for a silhouette in this shot. The room was dim and I tried flash, but that was too garish so I decided to go with the non-flash version. And luckily she finally turned her head in just the right direction. She wasn't following my orders very well. LOL
@darsphotos@aromatic
Thank you both. I've been surprised at the response to this shot considering I took it out of desperation.
Of course, @girlie made it look ever so much better by eliminating those poles and wires.

You done good!
Goodness! Thank you so much (although I think you may have just a wee bit of bias LOL)
We're a good team. :-)

Thank you all. I've told my little Valentine that she has some new admirers.
