Another store closure

Our CVS Pharmacy. Five minutes away. No more.

It’s “land-locked” on both sides … so the space can’t have a drive-through feature. We were told that was a significant factor in the decision to close this location. The pharmacy is relocating to a space within our grocery store, which is already set up for a pharmacy, but this reduces major pharmacy locations by 25% (from four to three). The employees found out in early December … as Christmas shopping was in full swing. :-( The employees for the retail operations were offered transfer options, but the nearest CVS is a half-hour away. The C-suite people make more and more, and the front line people… Sigh.

One closed by us, too. I attributed that one to the never-ending road construction. Now, I have to go to another. While it is equi-distant the other direction, it is somewhat out of my way.

And another vacant building sits there!! We have many places like that around here.
