‘Flown the coop’ or ‘Circle of life’? by rhoing

‘Flown the coop’ or ‘Circle of life’?

I removed this empty nest from a neighbor’s tree. If the chicks developed enough to get booted out of the nest by the mother, would the egg shells still be this intact? I’m doubtful, so I’m leaning toward this being a “circle of life” image…

Yes. Sadly, I think some creature ate them. But a rat snake would swallow the eggs whole. Nice shot of the lovely blue shells.
