Hiking pants: 32W. Belt that comes with: 45"

My test cut to shorten a nylon web belt:
   • two fender washers (50¢)
   • C-clamp from Clare’s grandfather
   • sharp knife or scissors (not shown)
   • butane lighter
   • YouTube video (“priceless”?)

Looks good to me. Good enough for a pair of hiking pants that aren’t going to any black-tie affair.👍
