Budding tree (Flowering dogwood)

A true macro shot (60mm). Not sure what kind of tree this is. I thought it a dogwood, but I am hopeful my expert can ID it. It *is* a flowering dogwood (“Cornus florida”) and these are “young fruits.” Since this is at the Student Recreation Center on campus where I visit most days of the week, I will try to snap these fruits as they develop. For now, here is an image of more mature fruit, http://phytoimages.siu.edu/imgs/pelserpb/r/Cornaceae_Cornus_florida_12438.html
