i've probably passed by this statue so many times in my twenty or so years here in canada. but i saw it only today as i tried to look for love, passion and romance. (yeah, yeah, partner said did i have to leave the building for that? and i said yes, as i am looking for new, too! tee-hee! you should've seen his face as it fell on the floor.)
in any case, going back to the matter at hand, this statue of a man and his beloved family personifies love. they way they hold their hands seems to project that love, as well as the natural instinct of parents to protect their children which are a product of their love for each other.

i have noticed that my bucket list is one item different from the challenge posted. it baffles me to no end because i had copied and pasted the list from that discussion by @crickle1969 on january 18th, 2012. for some reasons the item "bridge" is missing from my list and instead there's "hero" which i have already done. hmmmm....interesting, isn't it?
This statue represents all three to me . . I see it as love, passion, and romance all in this one pose. Beautiful shot, summerfield. It's a great angle and love the colors and the POV!
@bkbinthecity - it really surprised me to find it there. in fact, i passed by it and saw it by accident because i was trying to dodge a pigeon. thank you, brian.
Beautiful statue. It feels quiet and elegant and I think love is like that. (At my age, I prefer quiet and elegant to loud and showy anyway. 8D) Lovely shot and colors!
you crack me up! And what a neat statue! Hey -- I do not have bridge on my list either -- that I copied and pasted! I do have hero. Methinks somebody messed with the list after we copied it. It's a conspiracy!!!!! hahaha!
@myautofocuslife - i know what you mean by quiet. that's why when i'm feeling the love, i tell partner, "go have fun at the track" and he leaves me alone. isn't that fantastic kind of love? :-)
@deens - glad i can make you smile, nadine. and thank you.
@cscecil - oh, thank heavens, i'm not alone. i checked that discussion and there's bridge in place of hero. oh well, i'll replace 'leap year' with bridge, as bridge is a lot easier to find, yes? thank you, CS.
@meoprisan - thank you, mihaela. i haven't checked what challenges are being posted so i don't know yet whether i'm doing another one. i'd like to to some still life again that much i'm sure.
Ok seriously I totally recognized it but when I just tried to replicate the search I went through 44 pages of images and it didn't come up for me tonight
@karenann - thank you, kiddo. i see that, too. this is an amazing find for me.
@sarasdadandmom - thank you, terry.
