alike by summerfield

alike

during my photowalk this evening, i chanced by these two parked mini coops. i thought something seemed funny and it quickly occurred to me that they are alike, that they're both mini coopers, one is dark green and quite old, while the white one is quite new.

note: this got caught in the 'posting limbo' last night as i was having a difficult time posting my pics. i had to change my post three times as a consequence. then this morning my laptop decided it doesn't want to work anymore unless it's plugged in all the time. it looks like i need a new laptop.
reminds me of that movie "The Italian Job"

@jayberg - thank you.

@roth - i would guess they're owned by the same person who likes driving mini coopers! thank you, sue. i went to high park for about 45 minutes. must go back!

@geocacheking - thank you.

@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i was hoping with my tax refund i could get a more muscled camera. but i think i would need a laptop more. i'll have it checked though as maybe it just needs a new battery.

@karenann - i must say this laptop sees a lot of action especially during the weekend. i'll have it checked though as maybe it just needs a new battery. it's not charging at all so got to plug it whenever in use. thank you, karenann.

@summerfield oh..I'd like to see your High Park pics..are you on flickr?
April 23rd, 2012
@roth - no, i don't think i'm on flickr. i didn't take a lot of photos. just a few of the creeks. i saw your mr. duckie wood and almost got chased again by the bastard mallards! hahahaha! i only had about 45 minutes for a stroll. but going back to the subway i took the route towards the iron steps and found a small magnolia tree and lots of other little plants. i like using my macro these days. but for the minis :-P i posted a photo of fiddleheads in my other album. thank you, sue.

Awesome composition and constrast on this. Did you use selective coloring. Using my cellphone while at work to view everyones photo's, so I appologize if I'm wrong. Love the subtle reflection in the green cooper's side.

wonderful shot, so love these cars. my laptop is in the same shape, must be plugged in at all times or dies very quickly. as soon as unplugged, the lights dim. so sorry to read this. shopping for new one is not enjoyable; have been doing so for a bit now and do not like it.

what a fun shot!! (good luck with your computer!!)

@losthorizon - thank you, beau. yes, i did selective colouring. the coloured shot was boring and quite busy. this way, i get to draw the attention just on the two like cars.

@steeler - thank you, howard.

@catsmeowb - thank you, camille. i check out best buy and staples websites to check on prices. then i compare the specs and ask our IT guys for opinions. i pretty much know what brand i would want - it's either ACER or Toshiba. i suspect though that my laptop just needs a new battery (it says plugged in but not charging) and that's what i will check on this week. good luck with your shopping.

@cscecil - thank you, CS.

What a great shot

@summerfield I think the effect worked perfectly. Funny how just a little processing can change the dynamics of a capture.
