jasmine flowers

"Plants that wake when others sleep. Timid jasmine buds that keep their fragrance to themselves all day, but when the sunlight dies away let the delicious secret out to every breeze that roams about." - Thomas Moore

-o0o-

today is day 1 of the last week of the 'five weeks in may' challenge. for the remaining five days of may, the challenge is 'macro' or 'focus'.

these are jasmine flowers, if you are familiar with it, you know how tiny they are. they also have a beautiful scent that are the essence of most perfumes. i've read sometime ago that white flowers are difficult to photograph. luckily, the canon is on the ball again today.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are much appreciated.

sooc except for the name tag and the frame from ipiccy.

also, see whose name was drawn for the necklace in my april 24th post here: http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2012-05-26

Stunning composition and color. I don't think I've ever had the opportunity to smell a real jasmine flower. I'll have to fix that.
