"in flanders field, the poppies blow..." -

jogging around the neighbourhood i found a house with a beautiful garden and there were this light pink poppy flowers sticking out of the wire fence. i had seen giant red poppies west of my building but this one was about three blocks east. the colour is quite attractive and even though i don't touch them, they look quite delicate and have a very thin paper-like quality to its petals.
thank you very much for your visits and comments. know that they are much appreciated.
now those green things, they do look like eyes..and the are situated just so..I keep seeing a flower puppet with its mouth wide open...sorry...must be my inner child =)
Lovely shot we have them appearing randomly in the strangest spots out here a solitary flower on a barren field or sidewalk...and it makes you realise why they provoke memories and tributes for the fallen
