alfa romeo by summerfield

alfa romeo

the oldest man in the group of bikers (see story in http://365project.org/summerfield/365/2012-05-07 ) didn't drive his motorcycle today to attend their weekly meeting. he drove down instead. in this. i'm not a fan of fancy cars although they are nice to photograph, but this alfa romeo is quite attractive. the seats are in black leather and the steering wheel is brown leather. you can see how shiny the chromes are: they're bluish because of the reflection of the cloudless sky this morning. it's obviously a very well maintained car. if i would have to covet a car, this would be it, this particular one.

cloudy this afternoon and my shots using the new camera were all shot! hehehe! gotta read the manual. when i retire.

my june-word post is here: http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2012-06-24

thank you for your views and comments; know that they are much appreciated.

a very snazzy car -- guys like their fancy cars, don't they?! (we like our hats!)
June 25th, 2012
@karenann - yup, canon works today. i found its ills: any shot i need to make, it has to be on macro. go figure! thank you, karenann.

@cscecil - and i like my food! thank you, CS.
June 25th, 2012
i like the comp of your pic. i agree, this looks pretty snazzy. cars aren't my thing either - they just have to be dependable.
June 25th, 2012
@sunnygreenwood - i prefer to drive a van, it's not small and yet it's not big either. i just like to be way above ground and not feel like the tractor trailers are going to roll on me in the highway. thank you, anne.

Call me crazy, but I'd rather have a metallic blue '65 Mustang. Nice shot.
June 25th, 2012
Wow... thats cool. Brilliant red. Nice one.
June 25th, 2012
pretty cool though
June 25th, 2012
What a cool car! The red is gorgeous. Well shot, and I love your use of selective coloring. 8) I don't drive but if I did and had a car, it would have a custom pattern on it, very likely Dalmatian or giraffe spots. 8D

Excellent use of selective colour! Looks like a cool car too :) I have my dream car - a tiny black Smart Car :)
June 25th, 2012
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. nah, you're not crazy. if we dream, we might as well dream exactly what we want, just in case it's given to us, right? :-)
June 25th, 2012
@netkonnexion - thank you, damon. i commented on your red car and it gave me the idea for this post.
June 25th, 2012
@sarasdadandmom - thank you, terry.
June 25th, 2012
@myautofocuslife - ohhh, like cruella de ville? cool. i've seen one around toronto - a honda with all the spots but it was being driven by a guy who should've been on a harley. thank you, livia.
June 25th, 2012
@alia_801 - thank you, alia. those cars are handy. they can park on a really small space between the big cars.
June 25th, 2012
Very nice matey! Will come cruising with you.
June 25th, 2012
@danig - yup, mate. this car would look more gorgeous when gorgeous you with the green eyes would be in it. thank you, DG.
June 25th, 2012
@summerfield Can we get 2 hot guys in the back?
June 25th, 2012
@danig - you want two?!? sure...:-)
June 25th, 2012
@danig - as for me, i'm too old. can't handle anything hot anymore, especially if it's a guy. it would just be me and my camera. although i would need one to lug it around with me.
June 25th, 2012
It is a looker. The way you've angled the shot, it looks like it is flirting with us. Wink wink!
June 25th, 2012
great shot of the car, like that pop of red color among the other things around it!
June 25th, 2012
How did my car get over to your street? it's a beauty.oh keep on dreaming Bruni. I also like the fucos on this picture.
June 25th, 2012
@espyetta - wow! MB, you're flirting back with the car! hahaha! thank you, MB.
June 26th, 2012
@cottoncandy - thank you, mischell. glad you like it.

@bruni - your car is so cool! :-) thank you, bruni.
June 26th, 2012
Really great capture of this beauty. Nice use of SC.
June 26th, 2012
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam.
June 26th, 2012
@summerfield Nope! It was flirting with ME! He was saying wink wink!
June 26th, 2012
@espyetta - lol!
June 26th, 2012
Ahh the Spider a classic ,the aluminium engine block made it a pretty nippy sports car in its day ,but required more than a little bit of pampering.
June 26th, 2012
@summerfield Lol never too old my friend :-)
June 26th, 2012
@steeler - hello, howard. got your attention, huh? thank you.
June 26th, 2012
OOOHHHHHH- how did i miss this? i am a sports car junkie. malcolm does NOT care for them at all. calls them very creative names that i can't type here - wonderful shot! when i had my midget, all the bikers used to wave as we passed on the road. and the dogs looked down into the car. coolio.
June 29th, 2012
Awesome pov. Like the selective coloring. Really makes the color pop in this classic.
