here's the sunset that i yet again missed this afternoon. i had planned to get out of the house since 2 o'clock but i've been sitting in front of the computer. at one point i turned around and looked out the window, the billboard from the other side of the street was bright yellow and the windows from the building across the parking lot were sending golden reflections to my living room. so, with camera in hand, i moseyed on out and promptly kicked my butt when i saw this in the distance. see that band where the building juts out? golden lining but of course i couldn't capture it with my small lens. but i suppose the photo is good enough for today's prompt.
Awww- don't feel bad Vikki! There isn't a one of us that hasn't missed some sort of photo opportunity because we were on the computer looking at pictures etc. instead! You still got a pretty sky in this one with some nice silhouettes. Perhaps setting a timer will trigger your memory and get you outside on time. I know that's what I have to do if I'm looking at pictures in the afternoon- otherwise I forget to make dinner!
@olivetreeann - that timer idea is great, but only if i hear it. if i have a timer that constantly ticks, i'd go nuts. i think i need to find a hobby that's not as time consuming. (partner said, no, you don't need another hobby.) thank you, ann.
I like the colors in the sunset... and can totally relate to missing the "prime" sunset.. I normally spot it out through the trees and go running for the car! but of course rarely get out in time.
@summerfield Get one of those portable digital ones. They don't tick- at least the ones Judy has don't. She sets them to remind her to go get the laundry, turn on the oven, check and see if the mail came- she is the timer queen!
To many times I've looked up at the sky and wanted to kick myself for not having my camera or being in a lousy location! That sky is gorgeous tho! Great SOOC!
