we got up early and drove almost 30 kilometres from owen sound, ontario to meaford, ontario, just to catch the sunrise. i wouldn't have minded so much if i didn't get to see it, but partner was so determined for me to photograph the sunrise. the sky was already quite light when we arrived at our destination and of course i was contented to just sit by the shore, set the camera on a picnic table, use the wireless remote then shoot through grass and trees.
no, he wanted us to get to an elevated point which was damned rocky that he had to carry me part of the way. but i must admit it was a better vantage point to be right centre of the sun. it was a glorious sunrise.
feeling much better today, thank you for your concern. hope my canadian friends all had a wonderful thanksgiving.
Beautiful! I had to fav this one- not only for the wise persistence of your partner, but for the fighting thru the flu attitude to get up early and capture the sunrise. Not to mention I think it's beautiful- oh but I did say that already!
FAV - well worth the extra effort as far as the photo. Oh your partner sounds a lot like my husband who likes to help me get good views for photos - This is Stunning!
stunning. partner knows what he is talking about - has he been reading about photography? LOL! such a wonderful photo, so beautiful. and how romantic, to be carried over the rocks so you could get this shot! fav.
@olivetreeann - ann, thank you for the info. i did see it. quite alarming. partner is "peddling" to have my fall/river shots displayed at a coffee house. i also have received an order for a copy each of my niagara falls shot and the "new moon" shot with the toronto skyline. goodness gracious, this is just a hobby!
