csc #15 - impressionism in camera

i'm not impressed with this, are you?

however it looks like that iconic marilyn monroe photo where she was wearing a white haltered dress with the skirt billowing from a strong draft from a street grate. still not as impressive, but i wanted a post for the challenge. so there.
I am impressed...I was checking out the recent uploads and this popped right out at me. Def fave!

It is a cool shot. We are usually are our toughest critics so don't be to hard on yourself

i think it's kind of cool! and yeah, i totally see marilyn in that shot... makes it cooler still! the "in camera impressionism" thing kind of mystifies me... i've played some with ICM or intentional out-of-focus, but it's definitely not something i understand well...

I think I need new glasses.... wait a minute I just got new glasses. Nice shot!

I squared it off and saw the twirlling rose on a black back ground and it looked stunning, very impressive
November 4th, 2012
I think this is very creative and clever, love the interpretation of the swirling dress. fav.
November 4th, 2012
I see the dress - I like the impressionistic feel to it!

I like that you're experimenting and I think that the result is really nice. The rose against the dark background works nicely and the 'swirling' focus is very creative.
November 5th, 2012
I like the blurred feeling of motion here.
November 5th, 2012
@tara11 - thank you, tara. need to hone some functions in the camera (or better yet, learn how to use the camera properly haha!).
November 5th, 2012
@carolinedreams - thank you, caroline, much appreciated.
November 5th, 2012
@summerfield You and me both!
November 5th, 2012
I am impressed! I love it and a fav! It is like Monroes's dress! And a spiraling shell, and someone twirling in a skirt from above.....apparently, from the favs and comments, others were impressed too!
November 6th, 2012
@espyetta - thanks, MB. you're the best!
November 7th, 2012
