I was looking back a the shots I had taken of the dogsled races at the zoo last week and was struck by how happy these guys/gals looked. Decided to post for a change of pace.

Happy! And serving their purpose in life. that one hunkered down is SO focused. I have followed the Iditarod in Alaska with my students in years past.... People sometimes wonder if it is cruel to race dogs that long/far, but most of them are bred to do it, and seem to have to run....it is part of them. These in your pic are gorgeous!

Great shot. I've loved huskies since a month spent camping in Alaska in 1999 but they are not very popular just now in the UK as a husky, who was a family pet, savaged and killed a new born baby last week.
