Thank you for your visits and comments to my hay bales shot! Much appreciated!
In another area on the island, on someone's private land, this person has what amounts to a graveyard for old cars, boats, water tanks, etc. So I engaged in a little trespassing with my wide angle lens yesterday. I loved the look of this psychedelic truck that looked like it was trying to get back on the road. A combination of three images using Photomatix and then final processing with Lightroom, with thanks to some suggestions from friendly critics (thanks Bruce, Jane, Ross, Eric).

Wonderful capture and title :) Thank you so much for the caring words you left on the sad loss of my friend Sam. I truly appreciate the care you have shown. Thanks xx
Great HDR. And great work on it: the extra space on the right really makes a big difference, as does the burning of the road (or whatever you have done there!) The left portion of the sky looks strangley hot, though, compared to the rest of the sky. Could have been caused by the 365-upload - I have had some strange things creeping in during upload in the past as well.
Wonderful find, capture and processing. It has my curiosity piqued. Why was it abandoned. The tires look good from what I can see. Even if you had to abandon for mechanical reasons why not take the tires. You could sell them? Do love the look of this poor truck.abandonded after a lifetime of hard work! Fav
Dirving in America ,seeing cars dying where the owner last parked them seems to be very common, quite fascinating as it doesn't really happen lots around where I live.
@bob65 I'm definitely going back -- I figure a different lens each trip will give me a range of photos to work from over the next several months, even after I'm back in Chicago. Thanks!
This is a fun find... nicely shot, too. The delicate HDR gives some really nice tones. Very nice, how the road curves along to the left. Quite rural, your island!
Wonderful processing.....and, I believe in trespassing in the name of photography (or, architecture for that matter, so yes, I am an avowed trespasser!) ...at least he keeps his junk on his property and behind all those tall trees!
