OCOLOY Day 26: Biological Research Institute

Out with the Tuesday Walking Group today - this is the rear view of the Biological Research Institute, an outstation of Rennes University. The building on stilts overlooking the lake is the canteen and restroom.

Beautifully composed with the fence cutting diagonally through the shot and leading the eye from the front of the shot to the back of it. I have so much to learn when I put the camera to my face. Even though I am not joining you on this project you do have me thinking when I take a shot.

Something unexpected struck me when studying this image...there is no visible shoreline. I don't know why thats the particular detail that stuck out to me, and I don't have any opinion on it, just thought I'd share since it was an odd observation.
