Taken this afternoon in the church of St Laurent in the town of Parthenay in the Département of Deux Sèvres (79). The church dates from the 11thC. The idea that the Trinity has been worshipped for over 1000 years in this place caught my imagination.
As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile. This is also for 'Square September' which you can find more about here - http://365project.org/discuss/general/28377/square-september
..and more, this church has the most remarkable stain glass windows. Their colours have depth, strength and resonance for the scenes they depict. Mesmerising.
