Braemar Castle by 365projectmaxine

Braemar Castle

It was built in 1628 as a Hunting Lodge, but was also intended as a major stronghold to intimidate enemy clans, thieves and caterans (cattle rustlers). The Castle was leased to the community in 2007, and in 2017 the community embarked on fundraising to make urgent repairs and restoration. I think it was looking particularly atmospheric today with the low cloud swirling around it.
Fabulous misty capture of this castleā€¦
