The Montpelier district is an early 19th Century suburb of Brighton, characterised by stucco-clad terraced houses and villas. Some of the houses have verandas and the South coast climate is temperate enough for palm trees to thrive, giving the area a distinctive character all of its own.

Most of the houses in Montpelier are white but it is a small area of Brighton. A lot of the Regency houses are cream or white and some are the more traditional red brick. But there are large parts of the town where streets have houses painted all sorts of colours - I will try and get a few shots and upload!
