@shannejw Thanks! I often try to have people-free shots but am reading up on composition and learning that they provide points of interest for an image (I really didn't know!). Plus the Pavilion Gardens are usually so busy, even on a wet and windy day, that it's almost impossible not to have someone in the shot :)
One of the shots I took that made Explore on Flickr was a building with coloured windows with people and umbrellas in the matching colours below - those people aren't identifiable, so I'm still happy with that shot, But I'm not comfortable taking pictures of people.
