Oh dear...that's most likely enough of me. There truly are few photos of me with a natural expression. Youngest is unceasingly amazed at the ridiculous expressions that cross my face when a camera is pointed my way. So, one more self-portrait for the challenge. If, by chance, I try more, they will not be head shots.
I don't know how to express my face for a shot either Think you did a fine job! Really like the comp with the scarf and your head tilted. The processing is great!
@wearing0 We had a drastic turn of the weather and it is soooo cold out. This scarf is my only successful knitting project ... giant knitting needles and bulky yarn.
Haha, I meet many people who just can't act normal in front of the camera. That's why most of my photo's are 'spontaneous' and covert ;-) This one is very nice!
I really am puzzled by your self-deprecatory comments April; all the self-portraits you have posted (I refuse to call them mere selfies - they are much more than that) have been cleverly conceived and beautifully executed... and you look wonderful in them. And @annied is right!
This is my favourite so far. Love the pose and expression and processing. This suggests that it's cold outside--just right for Toronto today, where it's snowing as I type this. Definite fav for me! (your self portrait, not the snow.)
@vignouse Thank you Richard. I do not exaggerate my generally goofy expressions with photographs. It is thanks to seeing what I like from other 365 portraits and being able to see myself on live view with the camera that I've been able to get a more natural expression for this challenge. This is such a wonderfully talented and supportive community, and I learn so much from watching and trying to reproduce, in my own way, some of what I see.
