Sheralee challenged me to do a frozen bubble photo if our wintery conditions were accommodating. They were! I've struggle with these bubbles, but today the sun was shining brightly. I learned that one of my problems is that I've not been shooting into the light. Also, you need a lot of light! I have about 80 photos of this bubble ... I was so excited!
Had to try this with sugar ... quick comparison if you are so inclined: https://365project.org/aecasey/365/2018-01-14
@jackies365 I do make my own bubble mix ... left over recipe from when my kids were little. I use glycerin in mine, though many recipes use corn syrup instead of glycerin. I did learn that if I add the sugar called for by some internet recipes I can get a different shape in the frozen crystals. It's cold enough today, and it really does make a different shape, but it's gray, cloudy, and windy. I will be trying again when we have cold and sunshine....
Oh my gosh, I think I'm as excited as you, haha! It warmed up at my daughter's and so I thought it was going to be too warm for you to do it. This is on my bucket list and I'm going to try in a week or two :) Big fav!
