I literally stumbled across this caterpillar during my walk. It's the first monarch caterpillar I've ever seen and it's not on the common milkweed that grows in abundance along the roadsides and in my garden. Rather, it's on a milkweed plant I've also never seen before. After lamenting all month about how I always take photos of the same subjects and my months seem to follow a pattern, here's something I've never photographed before!
