Saxa challenged me to photograph something mechanical, showing its function. I wanted to spend some time in the feedyard today and maybe get the loader, I even took down my fish eye lens so I could go big, but every time I got there they were just finishing. I had my zoom lens on when I saw the feed truck loading from the dump box. I didn't have much time or much chance to try out compositions, but here it is. I thought it showed the function of something mechanical.
I love this! The frozen-in-time dust coming up in the back of the truck is very cool. I like the composition as well - I find sometimes when "I just have to get the shot", my first instinct ends up the best, even if I have composed it differently given time.
@aecasey - Hi April, great action shot on your mechanical get-pushed challenge. My get-pushed Mar 2-8 challenge for you is to take capture a silhouette. Shoot again the source light, sunsets, sunrises and winter days are perfect for silhouette photos. Hope this challenge is ok with you.
