Though very calm and stately, when a local hawk decided to swoop in and see what this great white bird was sitting in the top of the trees the egret did move. It circled over the yard for awhile before selecting another tree. Let's see ... the Great-Tailed Grackle, a Great Horned Owl, and then a Great Egret ... all during the May Bird Blitz.
