Susan challenged me do some colorful, festive pizzazz. This is taken late, posted late, but I still wanted to post it. I found these old "vintage" handmade Christmas ornaments and Christmas stocking my mother and sister made way back when. Youngest finds the ornaments odd. They just remind me of Christmases in the '60's.
They are festive pizzazz, but also a reminder of a time when Xmas decorations were handmade and treasured and came out each year after being wrapped carefully after the previous year's festivities were over.
@ankers70 Totally! And April, the fun of Christmas prep in the 50s and 60s was actually *making* more ornaments for the tree! I still have one made to "resemble Sputnik"!..Pins with crystals poked into a clump of bread-dough clay! (Guess my age!)
