Well, it's been way too long since I've posted to (or even browsed thru!) 365, but @elatedpixie pretty much insisted I put something up today. So here I am, in hopes of returning to shooting more regularly--even if it is "just" birds again.
This Ruby-crowned Kinglet was shot at the bird bath in my friends' yard this evening. These little guys are so dang cute, but so elusive and difficult to capture. Not light enough outside to stop the action so resorted to flash, but I like how the wings look translucent as a result.
