Sally ( @salza ) is my Get Pushed partner again this week and challenged me to find some texture in nature. This red xenia (?) standing alone in a spectacular field of yellow marigolds struck me, however the image I captured did not. So before chucking the photo completely and moving on to something else I decided to explore some processing techniques I'd not been familiar with yet. The results may not technically be what was asked for, and it certainly isn't representative of what I saw, but at least it held my interest a little better artistically speaking. Maybe I'll use it for a card or something someday...
As ever, thank you so much for all your comments and favs--keeps me going!
I’m embracing the ‘don’t throw it away just yet’ approach too. Funding that just trying something different produces some nice results, or at least an idea to use later.
My first response: How cool! followed by a Fav. Sometimes some creative editing saves a photo from the trash, and often leads to the pic becoming a favorite in the collection.
I like to play with my "bad" pictures- I call it throwing them into the processing blender. You toss them in and see what happens. Pretty good result here!
