I train in the martial art of Aikido and unfortunately my schedule has been rather erratic of late due to illness, vacations, etc. This is a cropping of my sandan (3rd degree black belt) certificate that I earned last January, although the only part of it I understand is the kanjii for "Aikido" (!) I've missed the physical and personal studies these past couple of months and I'm excited to get back to a much more regular training routine in the new year as Aikido has been an integral part of my life for a very long time.
This image was yet another opportunity to play with Photoshop and learn some composite techniques. Thanks for bearing with me!
absolutely gorgeous shot. I always wanted to learn the art of Aikido whe i was younger but there was nowhere locally that did it. it's a great level you have acheived.
Very wise. Eastern art and cultures certainly coming into their own more and more. I attained master level in the gentler art of Reiki, and have never looked back.
