aperture

Today @flygirl and I met for a lesson in--you guessed it--apertures and how it relates to depth of field. Poor thing, I'm hoping I didn't confuse her even more!
What amazing lighting Jenn!
Little lion here looks light he is a lion-god, floating in the clouds surveying all below him :)

I love how the book's get less and less in focus, very good on the aperture/DOF lesson. Im learning more and more about this too, its so fun to experiment with it, I still have tons to learn, but enjoying the process! Very cool picture!

I also like how you put your watermark on the spine, I almost googled it to find out who jen lawrence was, then I realized, it was you!

Could you send him my way when he graduates? I could really use a course or three! :) So cool. You should shoot for children's books.

You did't confuse me anymore, but you did dump a load of information on me. I only hope I can remember half of it, so I can practice before we meet again next week. And I love the pic you posted to help me keep it on my mind. :D

@chamrick Heh heh! Actually, these magazines cover all kinds of contemporary photography, not just techniques. It's called "aperture" but it doesn't really talk soley about f/stops and such. It's a fantastic mag!
