I have those shots all the time. They appear much different in your mind but sometimes that is when you end up with the best unexpected shots! While you may not like this one I think it's great but I am partial to the beach and that chair is calling my name!
@amyspada This was taken a couple of years ago at the desolate Salton Sea. I'm using this project occasionally as I go through the hoards of images I'm trying to cull and organize (ha!) Last night I ran across this one and remember thinking at the time that beat up beach chair just looked so odd there with no one around, in the middle of ruin, and I just had to shoot it. Now I gotta wonder, cuz this image is so NOT what I had in my head at the time!
I've many shots like that but I do like this one. It's very calm, peaceful, and interesting. Looks like a toy chair. And I like the shadow, a bit playful.
I do like this, but I know what you mean about what you envision, and then what you see on the screen once you take it off the card. Good for you for culling and organizing. I just decided that I have taken so many photos just in the last month that I should stop taking pics for a month and go through them!
