Revisting Devizes #2

Handel House - home of one Ezra Price who was a 'Pianoforte Dealer & Tuner'.

In 1881 Ezra had his premises here in Sidmouth Street, Devizes.

The name 'Handel House' was used on all his Companies future branches in Yeovil, Boscombe, Winton, Southbourne, Bournemouth and Amesbury.

Ezra died at Handel House on 23 February 1904. He was 79 years old.

His will was proved in April and his effects valued at £19,362 (in excess of £7 million at today's value).

Following his death the company was run by his grandsons.

Handel House is now home to Devizes Books.
