Richmond Doors by allie912

Richmond Doors

I love the architectural diversity of doors and have been collected pictures of them on my neighborhood walks. I thought it was time to collect and display them.
What variety and such a delightful sunny collection. Love them. And love your idea.

Wow, look at them all. I like the purple one, you just don't see enough purple doors :) and the orange one with it's little awning. But what's that hanging on it, it looks like a carrot?

Nice job! I used to have a framed poster of Richmond doors...in fact I think it was a gift from one of my 4th grade classes one year...wonder what ever happened to that?

I love this. I can't tell you how many times I have thought about stopping to take a photo of someone's front door. I'm always a little nervous that someone will come out yelling at me! I particularly love bright red doors!

FAVE FAVE FAVE! This is wonderful! You did such a nicely balanced array of them; wouldn't the owners love to know their doors were featured here?! This summer I'll take a picture of our front doors in Nova Scotia for Jodie...and Lauren... Surprise! They're Purple! But I'll save that to share later... The town we live in did a poster of doors & ours made it onto it. So I love this sort of thing, and love what you did with the doors in your neighborhood! (Could one of them possibly be yours?)

Awesome collection - out in my neighborhood they wouldn't be so interesting!

Very nice. I would have never though of a collage having never done one before. That would be an idea for a theme. Or not. If I had a number of photos of doors I would have been torn up trying to decide which one to use instead of doing what you did. So many nice doors. Great.

this reminds me of a poster a few years ago about the Richmond bistros... same concept... a collage of the entrances of the elite Richmond restaurants such as Tobacco Co, and Benjamin (which does not exist anymore) NIce collage.

What a wonderful idea Allison! These doors are definitely great reflections of the house owners' personalities.

This is so cool! I've always been attracted to a pretty door and you've really collected some nice examples. This would make a nice card for open houses, etc. Really pretty.

Had to make it a FAV!
'Course, I love it that it's "Richmond Doors"

Fab collage Allison, was just thinking about something similar today while wandering round part of the New Town in Edinburgh - there's quite a collection of door and window styles there!

This is awesome. I have photographed many doors. I have been thinking about that lately too! -- And looking around me to try and find some to photograph. I often say as I drive by "oh, i'd like to come back and photograph that door!"...somehow since I've started 365, I haven't had time to pursue all of my ideas!
