I am skipping the weekly theme in favor of this picture I took at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on Friday. I love everything about it. Tell me what you think.
Oh, I agree! There's so much to love in this picture... the randomness, the slat of sunlight, the orange, the reflection! The people look like actors on a stage, all different positions and poses. I love it!
You really did stop time! I keep coming back to it... guess I'm going to have to fave it so I can see it over & over. =)
Just noticed your "red" title. Sorry, looks beautiful orange to me. Maybe my monitor?
It has everything. I don't know that it could have been arranged any better if it had been set up. I started to list all the things that contribute to this picture, but the list became too long and I think that I'll just keep things simple and perfect.
So many interesting details in one photo. Like the reflection on the floor, the color and the shape of the chairs and the the two people sitting. They are watching to the different directions. I wonder what thy see that we can't see. Nice.
Thanks for all the F's in my photo. Funny!
I could start to analyze so much about this photo. It makes me wonder what the people are doing and why they are sitting here or stoppe here. Very interesting picture....good choice!
oh i love it too! the red sofas really pops against the dark wood floor and the reflections is very nice too! and that lady in red just happened to walk by! very nice capture!
I like it, too, especially the shot of light across the dark floor! Perfect that you captured this shot at an art museum!
re: my Hawaii life ... back in the day when we both taught skiing, we became avid windsurfers, first spending two (6 mo) summers in northern Australia. In 1984, on our return trip, we stopped in Maui for a two week vacation. That was it. We've returned every summer since! Until we had Nique (who BTW was born on Maui), our time was split pretty equally between our two homes. Then when school started, we did a 9/3 split. When I started working at the school, my summers got even shorter. I'm down to just over two months. (Poor me, huh?!!? I get absolutely NO sympathy!) Before I went into the classroom, I worked here as a seamstress, sewing windsurfing sails. Now, I just vacation (I need the break!), although I usually take some sort of long distance class. (This summer I'm taking two, as I need the pay raise to offset the furlough days that will reduce my salary!) Almost three years ago we bought a small lot and had a small house built over the winter. The next summer we finished it (everything after the drywall was hung). Here's a link to the blog I maintained that summer to share the project with my family (if you're interested): http://dvetromile.blogspot.com/ Only got in the water four times that summer! But, we love our little house and it was worth the effort. So, that's my thumbnail Hawaii story ...
