Hardly working

A sinkhole in the drive way led to a 2 day repair job involving 6 workers. How many of these men were actually required to complete the job is unclear. Every time i went by they were standing around not doing much of anything. I guess this is one way to get the economy moving again.
Looks like a typical road-work site to me! One guy working and 6 guys standing there just looking. Love the selective coloring on this one!

Glad you're still here in year 2 (read your bittersweet comments about that) - looks like I can learn some things by studying your photos so, again, appreciate your being here.

This must be a federal requirement because I have seen the same situation in more than one state! Great use of the splash of color to add a little humor to an otherwise ridiculously frustrating and common experience.

Great processing - lots of interest in this shot.

Very nice processing!

Having read and contributed to your thread, as a second yearer I thought I'd join you on your last 6 months. Us veterans got to stick together! As for this picture...hahha, it's good to see this type of 'working' goes on world wide. You see it everyday in UK!! :-)

Very effective processing. Reminds me of the old (politically incorrect) light bulb jokes: How many (insert your own noun) does it take to change a light bulb? Tee hee hee...look what I found - http://wilk4.com/humor/humorm321.htm

I love the processing! It seems like there's one guy to look at the hole, another guy to supervise the guy looking at the hole, one to make sure the porta-potty doesn't go anywhere, and three to watch the truck.

Lovely street photo and I love your selective colours. Well done. I stilol do no know how to do it.

@yoelao Ilearned how to do it in a workshop using Elements. Like a simpler version of PhotoShop. You do it with layers.

allison, selective colouring at it's best. I use element too and selective colouring is about as complicated as I get with PSE !!

Your use of selective coloring probably serves to emphasize just how many men it (supposedly) takes to fill a tiny sink hole!

I was going to vent a bit more about this stimulus thing, but best I don't!

Allie, he IS on the PP...just refresh it a couple times. Thanks for thinking he should be. He could always draw a crowd...even as he takes his last bow...

Should I be wishing you a Happy Anniversary today? I seem to recall we shared the same number of years...was it the same day, too? (Our 42nd today)...

I like the way you did selective color---amazing how they stand around all the time
