Remember the collage I posted a few days ago showing the mess in the kindergarten central hall? http://365project.org/allie912/365/2011-08-23 Well, those teachers put in long days and pressed family members into service and made a miracle. The tables are being set up for registration materials for next week, The floor is beautifully polished, thanks to our hard-working maintenance crew, the towering stacks of boxes are all unpacked and the housekeeping staff is putting the finishing touches on the last of the cleaning tasks.
When the eager kindergartners arrive to meet their teachers on Monday they will have no idea how these classrooms had been so magically transformed. In fact the most important part of that first day won't be the building, but the welcoming smiles of their teachers.
That is GREAT! Your school is extremely blessed to have so many that are willing to pitch in and get the job done. But I love how you put it all into perspective on the last line. The rooms can be spotless, but the teachers are the ones who make the students excited about learning and glad to be there.
Yes its that time again. not only the children starting kindergarten will ,be anxious but also the teachers..a new class again, experiences and fun..that's something to look forward to.
