The construction project at our school that was begun after graduation last June has finally been completed. The teachers involved used their holiday break to begin moving in. Our guidance counsellor (left center) found a beautiful sofa and rug at n estate sale. The science classroom (upper left) is still waiting for its cabinets. The reading teachers have not unpacked their boxes yet. The playground still needs its cushioned mats. But the Second Grade students can finally use the front entrance and climb the stairs directly to their classrooms on the second floor instead of traipsing through the garden to the back entrance. As a result travel time between classes has been reduced considerably. Next week I will show you the new improved facilities for Cougar Quest, the after school program. All I can say is, I wish I were a kid in Cougar Quest!

@bkbinthecity Ten years ago when we moved into our new library, we had to pack and then unpack over 20,000 books. Our library now has 30,000 volumes and I hope we never have to move again!
@olivetreeann Ann, we are so fortunate to have families that support the vision of our school, not just by sending their kids but by making major donations. This addition was the gift of one anonymous donor.
@allie912 I remember you mentioning that with the first shot- that's really awesome! I wish the school I used to teach at had some visionaries like that supporting the school. Perhaps I'd still be teaching there...but who knows, I'm trusting that everything that happened was God's will.
Great collage Allison and nice of you to let us have a peak inside your new building. so is it officially opened to the student when they're back from the Holiday vaction>
