A Really Big Map

Last year the map of Africa took up residence for 2 weeks at our school. This year, as you can see, it's North America. There are so many great activities suggested by the National Geographic Society for classes to get a real "feet-on" experience. I asked the teacher in charge what the significance of the placement of mini traffic cones is. She said they were positioned on Richmond and Seattle in honor of Collegiate's favorite alum, Russell Wilson.
I think this is a great idea. Terrific shot Allison.

That's a fun idea- we did a less accurate one of the Middle East in one of my Bible classes when I was teaching. It would have been fun if I'd known about this program. Nice shot.

That is such a neat approach to learning, and to be able to stand on those different areas, a neat part of the lesson.

I've been away for a few days. How did Seattle go on Sunday?

@cmt2812 Lost a heartbreaker to a last second field goal, but Russell was amazing bringing Seattle back from. 20 point deficit and actually making the go-ahead touch down with 31 seconds remaining. Unfortunately the defense couldn't sustain it. They can be lproud of their accomplishments. Russell set all kinds of records.z
