I love visiting the school garden these precious early Fall days. Sometimes I'm the only one there and I examine the insects and plants. Today was a different kind of visit. When I arrived, a kindergarten class was deep into planting bulbs and pansies. Their teacher was enjoying the experience as much as her young planters. Notice that she is dressed as a Cougar, our school mascot -- complete with ears and even a tail! (I have a picture of that too, but I think I'll keep it under wraps!) We are so lucky to have this hands-on lab for young naturalists who are making memories day by day.
What a great lesson for them- of course it won't be finished until next Spring when they get to see the results of what they planted today. Great collage! Maybe you could put together a before and after collage for them in the Spring when all the bulbs bloom.
